Our Story
TradeBuza started as a technology company with a bold mission: to digitize commodities sourcing and trade across West Africa. We built tools to connect farmers, aggregators, and buyers, making the region's agricultural supply chains more transparent, efficient, and accessible.
But the deeper we went, the clearer one thing became: West Africa produces some of the world's finest agri-food commodities, yet they remain largely unknown in international markets. The gap wasn't just in technology, it was in market access.
So we took the next step. TradeBuza evolved from digitizing trade to actively enabling it - sourcing premium West African agri-food products and connecting them directly to consumers and businesses in the United States and beyond.
We started with dried hibiscus flowers (our flagship product) because hibiscus is one of West Africa's most iconic ingredients, beloved across cultures yet underrepresented on international shelves. It was the perfect place to begin.
Why Hibiscus?
Hibiscus is one of West Africa's most beloved ingredients - the heart of Zobo in Nigeria, Agua de Jamaica in Mexico, and sorrel drinks across the Caribbean. It's naturally caffeine-free, rich in antioxidants, and incredibly versatile. From teas and cocktails to syrups, jams, and baked goods, hibiscus brings a deep ruby color and tart, floral flavor that's unlike anything else.
